Dubai Marina and Jumeirah Beach Residence sit on one of the busiest pieces of road network in the city: a three-kilometre canal ringed by residential towers, a tram running at street level, a pedestrianised beachfront and a single vehicle link out to Bluewaters. SA Transport has run chauffeur-driven cars in the district for more than twenty years, from our Dubai office, around the clock.
Most of the work here repeats — residents on a standing morning car, hotel guests booked through a concierge, executives moving between the Marina towers and Media City, and charter guests coming off a boat with luggage and a flight to catch. Every requirement is quoted individually.
Chauffeur Cover Across the Marina, JBR and Bluewaters
We work the area as one patch: the Jumeirah Lakes Towers frontage on Sheikh Zayed Road, the tower cluster along Al Marsa Street and Marina Promenade, The Walk and The Beach at JBR, and Bluewaters across the bridge. Dubai Harbour and Emaar Beachfront to the north, and Internet City, Media City and Knowledge Village inland, fall into the same daily pattern.
Chauffeurs are permanent uniformed staff rather than drivers dispatched by an application, so the same people work the district repeatedly. They know which towers take a set-down at the podium, which send a car round to a service road, and which turnings cannot be undone without a full circuit. The Marina Loop, Tram Crossings and Tower Access
Nearly every complaint about ground transport in the Marina reduces to one thing: the internal roads are largely one-way, and a missed entrance is not a U-turn. It is another circuit past Dubai Marina Mall, back along Al Marsa Street and into the queue again — twenty minutes lost to a turning error of a few metres.
So the pick-up point is fixed in writing before a car moves. A tower name alone is not enough, because names repeat and several buildings share a podium; we record the tower, the entrance — lobby, podium or basement — and the street the car should approach from. Guests are sent the chauffeur's name, the vehicle and the plate in advance, and the chauffeur waits at the agreed point rather than circling and telephoning.
The Dubai Tram is the other fixed constraint, running at street level along the Marina and JBR frontage with priority at its crossings. Traffic is held at intervals no driver can influence, so we build it into the departure time instead of meeting it on the way to a flight.
Bluewaters, Ain Dubai and the JBR Beachfront
Bluewaters is reached by a single road link from the Sheikh Zayed Road side, and on foot by the bridge from The Beach at JBR. That one link is why timing matters: on a weekend evening, with Ain Dubai and the island's restaurants full, the approach and the island's own set-down points back up onto the mainland.
For dinner or a show we set the car down on the island itself rather than on the JBR side, and agree the return point and time in advance so that nobody is left outside looking for a vehicle. The Walk is pedestrianised at plaza level, so collections are made from the designated drop-off bays or the structured parking beneath the promenade; kerbside waiting on the beach road is enforced.
Airport Transfers to DXB, DWC and Abu Dhabi
Dubai International is a little over thirty kilometres from the Marina along Sheikh Zayed Road, commonly around forty minutes when the road is clear and considerably more at peak, or when an incident pushes traffic onto Al Khail Road. Al Maktoum International at Dubai World Central lies south-west along the same corridor, a comparable distance but usually a quicker drive once traffic thins beyond Jebel Ali. We give a departure time for each booking rather than a driving time.
Terminals are treated as separate destinations, because at DXB they are not one airport. Terminal 3, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 — the last on the far side of the airfield, approached from Al Quds Street — take different runs and different meeting points. Flights are tracked from departure, so a delay changes our dispatch rather than the guest's plan, and chauffeurs meet arrivals inside the terminal with a name board. Runs down to Abu Dhabi and Zayed International Airport are handled at the far end by our own office in the capital.
Every quotation sets out what is covered:
- fuel and Salik tolls on the routed journey
- parking and access charges at both ends of the movement
- an agreed period of waiting time, extended when a tracked flight lands late
- meet and greet inside the terminal with a name board
- VAT, shown separately on the invoice

Yacht Charters, Marina Berths and Visiting Crews
A good share of Marina work begins or ends at a pontoon. Guests board at Dubai Marina Yacht Club, at the berths along Marina Promenade and Pier 7, or at Dubai Harbour just north of the district, and need cars at both ends of a charter — usually with luggage, often at the hour the district is at its worst.
Pontoons are gated and a car cannot generally reach the berth itself, so the meeting point is a gate or a named landing rather than the name of a boat. We take the berth, the gate and the charter operator's contact when the booking is made, and the chauffeur stands there. Returns run late by nature: a boat due alongside at seven comes in at eight, and the car holds rather than being released.
Visiting crews are a pattern of their own — crew changes to the airport at unsociable hours, a captain's guests arriving from a hotel — run from the same 24-hour operations desk under one reference.
