A stretch limousine is a stage, not a shuttle. It gets booked for the moment people step out of it: the bride at the venue door, the birthday arriving in front of friends, the guest of honour reaching a launch while the cameras are still on the kerb. The journey is part of the occasion rather than a way of covering distance, and the car is meant to be looked at.

Where a stretch is the right car
A stretch earns its place when the arrival matters more than the journey. Weddings are the clearest case. The car keeps the bridal party together, gives the photographer a set piece at both ends, and stands while the pictures are taken. Proms and milestone birthdays work the same way, with a group that wants to travel as one rather than split across three cars. Bachelor and hen nights use the cabin itself, moving between a small number of venues over an evening. For a launch or an opening, a stretch puts the guest of honour at a door where there is an audience. In each case the distance is short, the group is a single party, and being seen is the point.
Where it is the wrong car
We will say so when a stretch is not the right answer. Airport runs are the common mistake. Luggage space is small, because the length that looks impressive on the kerb is cabin, not boot, and a group with suitcases ends up holding them on their laps. Access is the other limit. These cars are long, low and wide, so a multi-storey car park with a height barrier, a tight ramp or a spiral is out of reach, and so are narrow villa compounds, basement entrances and anywhere the car would have to reverse a long way. For those jobs a luxury sedan, a premium SUV or a passenger van does the work properly. We would rather quote you the vehicle that fits.
How many people a stretch actually carries
Seating in a stretch runs around the perimeter of the cabin rather than in forward-facing rows, and that changes the numbers. The Dodge Durango and Infiniti QX80 stretch limousines suit a group of around ten to fourteen. The Hummer H2 and Cadillac Escalade stretch limousines take more, into the middle teens, and our party limousines are built for the larger end of that range. Treat any headline figure as a maximum rather than a comfortable number. Take two or three off it if the group is in evening dress, or if a wedding gown needs room of its own. Tell us the head count and what people will be wearing, and we confirm the capacity of the specific car allocated to you at the time of booking.
The cabin is the product
With a stretch you are booking an interior. Perimeter seating faces inward so the group talks to each other instead of to the back of a headrest. Ambient lighting runs the length of the cabin and can be set to suit the photographs or the mood. There is a sound system that takes music from a phone, climate control that copes with a full cabin in July, and privacy glass along the sides. Fittings vary from car to car, so when we quote we tell you what that particular limousine has rather than describing a generic cabin. If you want something specific, such as a lighting colour, your own playlist, or space set aside for a cake or a bouquet, raise it before the day and we will tell you plainly whether the car can do it.
Pick-up, kerb space and timing
A stretch needs a straight run of kerb and a clear path in and out. We agree the exact pick-up point with you beforehand, and where the venue is a hotel or a wedding hall we confirm it with their team as well, because the entrance canopy is often reserved or too tight for a car this long. Where a building cannot take the vehicle, we set a meeting point a short walk away and tell you where it is in advance, not on the morning. Give us the address, the gate and any access restriction when you enquire. Traffic around venues at the weekend is heavy, so we work the timings backwards from the moment you want to arrive and brief the chauffeur accordingly.
A chauffeur always drives, and what the quotation covers
Stretch limousines are never offered self-drive. They handle unlike anything a normal licence prepares you for, and they run under our passenger transport licence with a professional chauffeur at the wheel. Our chauffeurs are uniformed, speak English and Arabic, know where a car this size can stand, and are used to waiting quietly while an event runs late. Self-drive rental through Jumaira Rent A Car covers our standard vehicles on daily, weekly and monthly terms; it does not extend to stretches.
Every stretch booking is quoted for the occasion. Send us the date, the pick-up address, the venue, the head count and how long you want the car, and we come back with a fixed quotation that includes fuel, Salik, parking and waiting time within the allowance we agree. VAT is applied on the invoice. Our operations desk is staffed twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, and your booking sits with a named coordinator from the first enquiry to the end of the night.
